ASB launches First Virtual Branch on Facebook
I am an ASB customer so for me this is really cool. From a world first perspective a huge congrats needs to go to the ASB bank team for being courageous and proactive.
ASB’s new Virtual Branch application on Facebook offers real-time, secure and private conversations with ASB banking specialists, building even stronger relationships with customers through virtual excellent customer service. It is open from 8am to 9pm seven days a week for service to all members of the public, wherever they can access Facebook.
ASB clearly recognize the power of social media in New Zealand and feel the success of their 2700 follower strong Twitter account is a great example of their customers desire to engage in the social media space.
I think allowing customers to engage with you and your services whenever and where ever they want is essential to a strong brand and maintaining some competitive advantage in todays social world
